Speeding Car Accident Kills One, Injures Five in Gumla
Gumla: A man in his early twenties was killed and five others were injured when a speeding car met with an accident near the residence on Saturday. The deceased, identified as Pramod Kumar Singh, was aged between 22-24 years. Pramod was a resident of Khalari. Those injured were identified as Virat Shahdeo, Samrat Shahdeo, Vikesh Singh, Dipeshwar Singh and Uttam Singh. All are residents of various areas in Ranchi district and are in their early twenties.Lohardaga sub-divisional police officer Shraddha Kerketta said, “The accident took place near the residence of Lohardaga SP.”The accident took place when the car, which was allegedly speeding, hit a barricade on a side of the road and climbed onto a divider before ramming into a tree. All the injured were taken to Lohardaga Sadar Hospital where four of the injured were referred to Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences in Ranchi for treatment. Pramod was declared dead on arrival. The car was registered in Muzaffarpur in Bihar, police said.
